鉴定描述：本种体表深红色，易于识别。本种仅与何氏环锹相似，但发育程度相当的雄虫其头部侧棱附近的褶皱较深较多，阳茎基片后腹突中央的无色区域较浅，其后缘大致呈V形。
Identification. The original description (Fujita 2010) is informative, with male type specimens illustrated in good quality. We examined two males from N Vietnam. There is no difference between the specimens from W Yunnan and N Vietnam in male genitalia. The specimens from N Myanmar illustrated by Fujita (2010) as Cyclommatus multidentatus match with our specimens of Cyclommatus katsurai from Dulongjiang area in all details.
