鉴定描述：本亚种大中型雄虫头部侧棱附近的褶皱较其他亚种更深更显著。雌虫则鞘翅两侧的黑斑条一直出现，即便某些个体的斑条非常细弱却也隐约能够辨认；其他亚种雌虫常有一些个体，其鞘翅上完全没有任何斑条的痕迹。另外，本亚种雌虫的右大鄂一般比其他亚种更为弯曲。
Identification. It is characterized by the males having the well marked lateral wrinkles on the head, a central black band on the pronotum and a black stripe along the suture of the elytra, and by the females having three black bands on the pronotum and a pair of lateral black stripes on the elytra. However , the female of this taxon is individually variable, with the black stripes on the elytra varying from the large black patches to the very obscure lines. The central black band on the pronotum of male can be absent.
